Multicultural Marketing and Management (MMM) is a small, independent research consultancy with a long-standing commitment to supporting community wellbeing, inclusion, and social participation. Our approach is practical and proportionate to our size, focusing on meaningful, direct contributions to individuals and community groups who benefit from targeted support.
1. Inclusive employment and skills development
MMM actively supports opportunities for people facing barriers to employment. This includes:
- Hiring a refugee graphic designer with disability from Syria, providing paid professional experience, mentoring, and integration into commercial project work.
- Flexible working arrangements to accommodate health needs and personal circumstances.
- Culturally safe and nondiscriminatory recruitment, ensuring equal opportunity for candidates from diverse backgrounds.
These initiatives reflect our belief that small businesses can play a significant role in creating pathways for people who are underrepresented in the workforce.
2. Support for youth and disability community programs
MMM has contributed to local community organisations that provide skills development for young people with disability. Our support has helped:
- Fund coaching for teenagers with disability to develop entrepreneurial and business skills.
- Encourage confidence, independence, and long-term participation in economic and social life.
This reflects our commitment to supporting practical, community-led initiatives that create real opportunities for young people.
3. Contribution to national capability and cultural understanding
MMM has delivered language and cultural training for Australian Defence Force personnel, supporting cross‑cultural capability, respectful engagement, and operational readiness. This training directly assists ADF members in their humanitarian, disaster‑relief, and peacekeeping work in Australia and overseas, where effective communication and cultural understanding are essential. While not a charitable activity, this contribution supports broader community outcomes by strengthening the ADF’s ability to engage safely and respectfully with diverse populations in Australia and overseas.
4. Long-term commitment to humanitarian organisations
For more than 20 years, MMM has donated to organisations that deliver critical social and humanitarian impact, including:
- The Fred Hollows Foundation
- Oxfam
- Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)
These long-term partnerships reflect our values of equity, dignity, and global citizenship.
5. Ongoing commitment
MMM reviews its community support activities annually and continues to look for opportunities where our skills, resources, and networks can make a meaningful contribution to individuals and communities.
